100% Natural, grass fed on open ranges on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Village Earth, a local non-profit, is working working with Lakota bison caretakers to form a marketing cooperative to sell their meat in the region. You can support this by joining with friends and neighbors to pool your money to purchase a bison - enough meat to last you the entire winter! To learn more, contact David Bartecchi david@villageearth.org.

Yummy! Do you have a price list? Do you have any cuts available now (not an entire buffalo) and how much $$$ does it cost?

I'm sorry, I thought your were looking for general information on the program, not specific information about ordering and such. Right now those details are pretty informal. We're currently working on making the supply chain more reliable but until that happens we just have to negotiate each deal one by one. In January I plan to have some cuts here in Fort Collins to sell. However, if you would like to purchase meat before that time you would have to purchase the whole animal and get it processed. A whole animal would cost around $1500 plus about $320 to process. That would yield about 400lbs of meat in various cuts. The retail value would be about $2500 to $3000. If you or you and some friends would like to do this let me know and I can help make the connection with the bison ranchers on Pine Ridge.
